What is this workshop about?

Are we, as practitioners, inadvertently using shaming as a tool to ‘improve’ the performance or behavior of those in our care? And if so, what other, more relationally and emotionally intelligent tools could we being to bear in our profession and parenting?

How could we contribute more effectively to building inclusive social and educational learning communities in which the potential that each human/child carries within themselves can unfold?

This will be a highly experiential and interactive workshop in which each of us will discover his or her own way to practice the 5 As: Attention, Acceptance, Appreciation, Affection, and Allowing (the other to be) – to improve and enhance the holding environments we co-create for and with those in our care.

This workshop aims to create a truly inclusive holding environment in which the practice of “shaming” has no place.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for teachers, therapists, social workers, and parents focusing on creating a high quality “holding environment” for our children, ourselves, our colleagues, and our loved ones – those in our care who can flourish as human beings.
