In this hands-on 3-hour workshop participants will learn about understanding and preparing soil, Composting and Vermicomposting, Container and In-ground gardening, Site Selection, Direct sowing and seedling planting, Companion planting, Watering, Harvesting, and Building garden microclimate.
Natural, open-pollinated seeds of winter vegetables and other items will also be available.

Workshop Trainer
Nasira Habib
Nasira Habib is the founder of Khoj Society for People’s Education and Organica Pakistan. She authored گھریلو باغبانی, بچوں کی باغبانی and Invisible Farmers, etc. She worked with organic gardeners and farmers of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam and Germany and is a member of several international movements on organic farming. She received an FAO award for her services in the field of agricultural extension, and a Certificate of Recognition from the Governor of Punjab on 14th August 2022. She graduated from University of Essex UK and Institute of Social Studies Netherlands.
